The forum of the Home Food Association and the Cesarine

After the creation of the web site and the blog, the Home Food Association and the Cesarine are happy to propose to all their friends among the Internet navigators a new meeting point: a forum! Named simply “The forum of Home Food and the Cesarine”, its address is www.lecesarinehomefood.forumup.it. It is divided into subject areas ready to welcome your opinions and new discussions. You only need to register and then enter the preferred discussion under way or propose new ones in accordance with the matters indicated. And more than this: if you think the right session for your intervention is lacking, you can suggest the Home Food staff (which will act as a moderator), to create a new area, enriching this new virtual space with more ideas and themes. You are all invited to take part in this on-line community. We would really like to see it grow and exchange ideas in the name of the good cooking, the culinary traditions, and obviously the Cesarine.

BlogFood, from the world of the Cesarine

The Cesarine’s blog is on line! Wishing to get in touch with you, the Cesarine of the Home Food Association have created their space on the web, the address being www.blogfood.it: it’s a real virtual diary collecting thoughts, memories, traditions and recipes form the world of the Cesarine.

The blog offers everybody the chance of leaving comments, partaking the discussions which arise from the posts, creating an interlacing of knowledge and flavours: visitors from all parts of Italy can play their role together with the Cesarine. It’s very simple: you enter www.blogfood.it, read the messages of the Cesarine and click the link "Comments" at the end of each message: you enter the page containing the comments left by other readers and to which you can add yours.

"When Food is Love" - Home Food Editions

 

 

 

 

 

“Quando il Cibo è Amore” ("When Food is Love") is the title of the first series of books edited by the Home Food Editions, dedicated to the recipes of the Cesarine from Emilia-Romagna, Toscana, Lombardia, Marche and Umbria (the books are in Italian only).


Now it is possible to buy them on-line on our website (in the session Home Food Shop) at the cost of Euros 11.90 each (plus postal delivery expenses), with the possibility to take advantage of a special offer: the whole series of four volumes, bought all together, at the cost of Euros 44.00 (plus postal delivery expenses).

Home Page

The Association for the Safeguard and Exploitation of the Traditional Gastronomic-Culinary Wealth of Italy, with its Home Food project sponsored by the Ministry of Agricultural Politics and various Regions of Italy, and in co-operation with the University of Bologna, exploits and spreads the traditional food culture strictly linked to the culture of the typical products and territories.

In this spirit it is possible to become guests of the Italian families and taste foods cooked by the Ladies of the house, real repositories of the old culinary ways and methods.

The Guests (see To become a User Partner), as are the Ladies of the house called Cesarine (see The Cesarine), are members of the Association.

The Cesarine, whose number constantly increases, are available from North to South of Italy (see The Italy of Home Food).  

Since its foundation in April 2004 more than one thousand gastronomic Events have been organized.

The Association for the Safeguard and the Exploitation of the Traditional Gastronomic-Culinary Wealth of Italy has also founded the Home Food Editions, whose mission can be resumed in “good food for good thoughts”. Typical traditional foods become symbol and metaphor of a good way of being together, and this is the main objective for which Home Food was born, with the desire to encourage and promote the development of the “good” at different sense levels.
